What Does Your Favorite Celeb Smell Like?

These days, celebrities are more than just movie stars, singers, or even viral social media sensations- they shape culture, set trends, and give us commoners a sneak peak into the highly elusive A-lister lifestyle. Although we (probably) won’t all be the next Beyonce, we can still become our very own VIPs by bringing a little luxury into our everyday lives. And the best way to do that? Perfume, of course!

Here’s what the rumor mill turned up when we dove into discovering each celebrities must have fragrances:

Marilyn Monroe: Chanel No. 5

Name a more iconic duo that Marilyn Monroe and Chanel No. 5? There’s no such thing. One of the most famous quotes in perfume history is due to this fragrance love affair, as the actress once stated in a radio interview, “You know, they ask me questions. Just an example: ‘What do you wear to bed ? A pajama top? The bottoms of the pajamas? A nightgown?’ So I said, ‘Chanel No. 5,’ because it’s the truth”.

Harry Styles: Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille

Considering this Tom Ford scent was inspired by London itself, it’s no wonder Vogue reports that everyone’s favorite British pop star has adopted it as his go to perfume! Unique tobacco leaves scent- lit up with ginger and warm up with rich notes of cacao, honey and vanilla- will transport your senses to the cozy warmth of a London lounge, no matter where you are in the world.

Margot Robbie: Chanel’s Gabrielle

Finding your signature scent is no easy task, even if you’re a celeb. Margot Robbie spoke on her perfume journey with Wanted, explaining how she struggled to find a scent that felt like her, until getting a whiff of the delightful floral medley found in Chanel’s Gabrielle. The actress describes the scent as, “To me, this is a fragrance with force of character. It feels distinct. It feels vibrant”.

Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner, Jodie Comer:
Le Labo Fragrances’ Santal 33

It’s no secret that Santal 33 has captured the heart, and noses, of perfume lovers everywhere- celebrities included! Sophie Turner revealed in an interview with Elle that she shares the scent with husband Joe Jonas, and isn’t bothered by it being labeled as a more masculine smell. Jodie Comer also spoke highly of the fragrance in an interview with the New York Times, stating “I definitely copied an actress I worked with. We would ride the lift every day, and I would smell it on her, and it would be that amazing smell”. With such a qualitative and comfortable combination of creamy sandalwood and smooth musks, we can’t blame her!

Meghan Markle: Jo Malone’s Wood Sage and Sea Salt

A fellow fragrance fanatic herself, Meghan Markle admitted during an interview with Express that, “Fragrance is my favorite thing – so much so that if I leave the house and I don’t put any on, I’ll turn around and go back home”. So what perfume is she running home for? The delightful combination of fresh sea breeze feeling, sage and driftwoods found in Jo Malone’s Wood Sage, and Seasalt.
